Seattle and Kansas City, June 1, 2010: Lynden International, Inc., a leading global logistics and transportation management company, announced today that the company rolled out Catapult International’s global rating systemcalled Catapult QMS(TM).
Catapult will consolidate all of Lynden’s ocean and air rates into an easy-to-use website application where employees and customers will be able to view their best options worldwide. Catapult’s analysts, who regularly monitor ocean carrier’s tariff rules for changes, will then keep Lynden’s contract rates up-to-date and accurate. The Catapult systemwill allow Lynden users to search rates, email quotes, and produce graphic enriched KPI reporting.
“Catapult has listened to our needs and has responded with a system that will improve our efficiencies,” notes Dave McGeath, Ocean Pricing Manager at Lynden. “Catapult allows our offices to retrieve both air and ocean rates all in one screen.”
The platform currently provides rates and transit times from the steamship lines that Lynden contracts with. Lynden’s offices and agents from around the world will be able to access the secured system to see their best option from point A to point B.
“Lynden has recognized that quote response time to its customers is critical,” notes Bryan Luttrell, COO of Catapult International. “We are very excited to have a brand name in the industry with Lynden on board using our system.”
